MDWFP Now has Phone Aps for Hunters and Fishermen

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks has recently issued Hunting and Fishing apps for your smart phone. The iPhone app came first and has just been followed up with an android application.

The hunting and fishing mobile apps were designed for sportsmen in the state to communicate with the department. Curtis Thornhill, Chief Information Systems Officer for MDWFP said, “the hunters and anglers of Mississippi now have a variety of wildlife resources at their fingertips while they are enjoying the outdoors of Mississippi.”

The applications allow users to do everything from purchasing their hunting and fishing licenses, to renewing their boat registration, using GPS mapping features, review hunting and fishing season regulations, upload photos of their game to their own trophy case, access a location-based sunrise and sunset timer and more.

The applications are free and can be downloaded from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks website, Google Play for Android and the iTunes App Store. See the links below.
