Fair Elementary and McDonalds Team Up for McTeacher Night

Teachers and Staff from Fair Elementary got a change of pace from their regular responsibilities as they participated in McTeacher Night at Louisville's McDonalds on Monday night (March 4).
The program brings teachers from local schools into the restaurants to work behind the counter, at the drive thru and do clean up for an opportunity to earn money for their school.

Fair Elementary Principal Leigh Ann Hailey thanked McDonalds for their support as she cleaned floors in the restaurant while other Fair Elementary staff worked the counters, offered fried pies to customers, collected tips and worked the parking lot to bring folks into the restaurant. Hailey indicated that 20% of the proceeds from sales from 4:00 pm til 7:00 pm and any money collected as tips will go toward school needs.

As this weekend marked Dr. Seuss's 109th birthday, it was appropriate that the Cat in the Hat and Thing #1 and Thing #2 were also present.
