Sheriff's Dept Raids Local Club on Saturday Night

The Winston County Sheriff's Department made three arrests over the weekend at the Reality Lounge due to alcohol violations. Working in conjunction with ABC, MBI, and the Louisville Police Department, the Sheriff's Office raided the property located on Old Stockyard Road at the junction of Hwy 25N and Hwy
15 on Saturday night. (Bldg next to old Sale Barn)  The club was found to be in violation of ABC ordinances and county ordinances due to lack of a county beer permit.

The business was temporarily shut down in October, 2012 for operating without a business license. Since that time, a business license was obtained but no beer permit was issued from the County. While a state beer license was issued, a county beer permit is required as well. To qualify for such a county beer license, the business owner must meet appraisal, insurance and food sale requirements.

In Winston County Board of Supervisor actions on Monday (March 4), the Board voted to remove the business license of the location until further requirements are met.
