City of Louisville Alderman Meeting- Jan 21

The Louisville Board of Aldermen met on Tuesday with a short agenda:

  • Recognized Tommy Jenkins upon his retirement from Fire Department. To view proclaimation honoring Mr. Jenkins see the City's website - click here
  • E911: Basic telecommunicator training for Tracy Grabher on February 10-14 at Richland, registration $395.00 - Approved
  • Discuss E911 mapping - Will have more data at next Alderman meeting. 
  • Approved eliminating All Way stops at intersections of: 
  • 1. South Jones and Park Street
  • 2. North Jones and E. College
  • 3. Hight and East College
  • 4. Pontotoc and Jackson Avenue
  • 5. North Court and Gage
  • Please pay close attention when approaching these intersections as to which stop signs have been removed.
  • Authorized Mayor to sign change order for Natron equipment order at a no cost or mimimal cost change.
  • Authorized payment upon receipt od FAA Funds plus City Funds to Davidson Hauling for $39,968.53 and to Kemp Associates for $1,778.00.
  • Discussed renewal of 911 contract with Winston County, EMA Director Buddy King answered questions, further details to follow.
