Busy Day in Winston County

LMSD students return to school today after a long weekend that was shortened due to last week's weather conditions. Students were scheduled to be out of class today but due to school closing last week, today became a makeup day.

Winston County Supervisors meet today at 9:00 am. Their regularly scheduled meeting on the 1st Monday of each month was delayed due to the President's Day holiday. On the agenda is a discussion of a new E911 interlocal agreement wth the City of Louisville.

The Louisville City officials and Aldermen also meet this evening at 5:30 pm.  The Mayor's Youth Council, Natron and changes to 4-way stops in the city are among the items on the agenda.

The Louisville Lions Club also meet tonight at 6:30 pm at Lake Tiak O'Khata. If you are interested in the Lions Club, you are welcome to participate. The Lions are gearing up to host the State Convention in Louisville in May, 2014.

NOTE: The County Wide Yard Sale that usually takes place in March at the Louisville Coliseum has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts at the facility...
