ECCC Plans Black History Month Program Feb. 19

East Central Community College will hold its annual Black History Month Program Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, on the Decatur campus. Activities begin at 7 p.m. in the Vickers Fine Arts Center auditorium. There is no charge for admission.



Andrea Williams of WTOK-TV in Meridian will serve as guest speaker.

Williams began her employment at WTOK in 1999 as an anchor/reporter. She currently anchors the Good Morning Meridian program.

A native of Pulaski, Williams is a 1993 honor graduate of Jackson State University. While in college, she studied abroad for a year-and-a-half at the University of Ghana in West Africa. After college, Williams worked for almost two years an anchor/reporter for the Southern Urban News Network and as an associate producer for WLBT-TV in Jackson.

The ECCC Gospel Choir sponsors the Black History Program and will also perform. Mrs. Brenda Johnson serves as gospel choir sponsor.
