Salute to Success Recognizes County Honor Students

More than 80 graduating high school seniors were recognized on Monday morning at the Class of 2014 Salute to Success Breakfast. Sponsored by the Winston County Economic Development District Partnership including the Chamber of Commerce and Business Incubator, Winston Medical Center, Lake Tiak O’Khata and the Louisville’s Bankers Association, the breakfast was held to recognize honor students from across the county’s five schools.

The students were welcomed by Mike Peterson, Supervisor of Winston County District One, Noxapater Mayor Sammy Carter and State Senator Giles Ward. Said Peterson, “We are here to honor your achievements in the classroom and that means that you will be a leader in the future. We hope that events like this will get you more involved in the community.”

Louisville Mayor Will Hill spoke to the group to conclude the meeting.
