Team Rubicon Coordinating Assistance Teams on Friday and Saturday

LOUISVILLE MS, May 8, 2014 –Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster relief organization will assist in coordinating hundreds of volunteers in a massive recovery effort at the Louisville Coliseum on Friday May 9th and Saturday May 10th

Volunteers and members of the leadership team will be available for interviews at the Volunteer Reception Center as well as on selected work sites. Cameras and filming will also be permitted.

Team Rubicon will be coordinating special chainsaw and debris removal teams, along with roof tarping teams and assistance at supply distribution centers. Teams will also be delivering personal comfort and care packages throughout the community. To request assistance with cleanup or to volunteer, residents should call the Volunteer Reception Center hotline at (513) 580-8722. As part of its efforts, Team Rubicon is working with the Knights of Columbus and the Mississippi Emergency Management Association to help register and assign tasks to the hundreds of volunteers who are coming to assist in recovery.

Team Rubicon’s Operation: Red Hills began April 29th in Lousiville, MS. To date the team has performed over 350 property assessments in Louisville and Noxapater.

Team Rubicon’s services are provided at no cost to homeowners—making a measurable difference in affected communities. For example, Team Rubicon saved homeowners in Oklahoma an estimated $3.7 million in recovery costs through debris removal and home repairs, following devastating tornadoes last year.
