A Busy Summer at Winston County Library!!

The Winston County Library has had a busy summer with a multitude of programs. Located on Park Street, the library staff has brought reading programs and fun to Winston County. The following are photos and highlights:

Magician Dorian LaChance provided a very entertaining and educational show for the Fizz, Boom, Read Summer Library Program. In the second photo summer library volunteers Kenley McMullan, Tara Woodward (far left and far right), and Winston County Library children’s librarian Julie Chase, give Dorian his hand-made thank you card signed by all the children.

Inky The Clown entertained 1st – 5th graders at one of the Fizz, Boom Read Summer Programs at the Winston County Library.


The "Snakeman" is always a hit at the Library
Susan Clark, local ceramist and artist behind Feat of Clay, conducted a ceramics workshop for teens at the Winston County Library in June, as part of the Spark A Reaction Reading Program.

This is the Awards Day/Water Fun for the 1st-5th graders. Children’s Librarian (1st pic in blue jean skirt and green t-shirt) couldn’t resist getting sprayed by the Fire Department. The Sugar Shack van provided sno-cones and volunteers Kenley McMullan and Una Swindle did face painting.
