Louisville Receives $100,000 Grant for Land Use Planning

It was announced on Tuesday, August 26 that the city of Louisville received a $100,000 grant from the Department of Commerce through the Economic Development Administration to develop a land use- comprehensive plan for the community.

The $100,000 will provide the bulk of the funding for the $125,000
project, The remaining $25,000 cost will be split between the City of Louisville and Louisville Utilities.

The project will be administered through the Golden Triangle Planning and Development District and the project will go out for bids.

A Comprehensive Land Use plan will incorporate future plans on aspects of development including zoning, sewer, utilities, etc.
