EMCC STUDENTS ATTEND SOUTHERN INVITATIONAL CHORAL CONFERENCE

Members of the East Mississippi Community College Choir and Reflection Singers participated in the Southern Invitational Choral Conference Sept. 29-30 at the University of Southern Mississippi. Community college choral music students in attendance learned three new selections under the direction of guest clinician Dr. Lori Hetzel of the University of Kentucky. In addition to her academic titles, Hetzel conducts the University of Kentucky Women’s Choir and an a cappella group called Paws and Listen. At the end of the festival, community college students performed in a mass choir of 300 voices at Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
