Weather Update as of 1:15 pm - 10-13-14

According to the National Weather Service -  SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS can be expected this afternoon in central Ms. -- mainly between 3:00 pm and 10:00pm as a squall line pushes through the area. Damaging winds are possible in excess of 60 mph. There are chances of tornado activity and hail.

 

Many area schools have dismissed early as a precaution as storm activity could possibly hit areas near normal school dismissal times. These include all public schools in Winston Couny as well as Winston Academy.
