What's Happening This Week in Winston County

Lots going on in Winston County this week!!. Tonight (Tuesday) "Rays of Hope" Service at South Louisville Baptist to mark six months since the April tornado. The service will be a praise service and to remember those lost in the storm. Time is 6:30 pm and all are welcome.

There will be an open house at Legion State Park on Thursday to celebrate the completion of the rebuild of the picnic pavillion at the Park. The structure has been restored with historical accuracy and is a fine example of craftsmanship. The public is invited and the time is 11:00 am.

The Extension Office will hold a Basic Landscape class on Thursday at 6:00 pm. To sign up, contact the Extension office at 773-3091.

There are several "Trunk or Treats" planned including Evergreen Church on Thursday at 5:30 pm. Check with your local churches for more info.

Friday brings a Halloween Festival at Dean Park from 3:30 to 5:30. Lots of fun planned. Bring a non-perishable food item.

Saturday is a big day in Louisville as we honor our Veterans with the Veterans' Harvest Festival. There will also be a 5K Run/Walk. We'll have more details coming up later today.

Saturday night features a benefit concert by the Reed Brothers at Wess Chapel Baptist Church at 7:00 pm. Love offerings are accepted with proceeds going toward rebuilding the playground.

And don't forget to "fall back" on Saturday night as Daylight Savings Time ends.
