More Winston Countians Return to Their Homes

On  Saturday, January 16,  two more Winston County families
Willie Shields receives the key to his home
returned to their homes after the April 28, 2014 tornado. Winston Strong and Mennonite Disaster Services (MDS) completed the process with house dedication ceremonies.

The first dedication was for Mr. Willie Shields at 355 EMEPA Road . The second dedication was held for the home for Sarah Smith located on  221 Beal Ave. Both of these homes were completely destroyed by the April 28 tornado.

WinstonStrong in conjuction with Mennonite Disaster Services (MDS) worked on the reconstruction of all the homes. Ivan Shirk of MDS and the MDS women presented each family with a completion form, a quilted wall hanging and the keys to their newly constructed homes.
