The Winston Medical Clinic-Noxapater had their open house and ribbon cutting on February 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

Noxapater Mayor Sammy Carter gave the welcome and a brief background on how the clinic came into being and thanked those who were instrumental in making it possible including Grady Suttle, Larry Duran, Paul Black and Lee McCall among others.

David Harris, Pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church gave the invocation.

Also speaking at the ceremony were Grady Suttle, President of
Winston County Partnership, Larry Duran, Winston County Board of Supervisors, Al Porter, Winston Medical Center Board and Delbert Hosemann, Mississippi Secretary of State.

The Secretary of State graciously attended the event in spite of the poor weather conditions. Hosemann spoke of his visits to Winston County after the April 28 tornado and the impact it had on our local hospital. He emphasized how the clinic in Noxapater was used after the disaster and how small rural clincs help keep the cost of healthcare down. He presented the clinic with The Mississippi Blue Book to be left in their waiting room for patients to read while waiting.

The open house was well attended by Noxapater residents, County and City officials.
