Arrest Made in Church Burglary

Louisville Police have reported an arrest in the Saturday burglary of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 410 Spring Street. The front door of the church had been pried open  and a gold colored tabernacle had been removed from the wall.

Further details are limited at this time but LPD indicates that Jerry Lee Cartlidge, a 36 year old black male from the area has been charged. We will have more details as they become available.

LPD also informed WWN that the 2003 Ford truck taken from the City Maintenance Barn has been seen in other parts of Mississippi and as far away as Butler, Alabama. The truck is described as a  2003 Ford 4-door dual wheel truck - white in color with a black dump bed. The tag holder and tag had been removed. This theft occurred on Sunday morning at the facility on Pontotoc Street.
