City Engineer Morris Retires

The City of Louisville held a reception on Friday (June 26)  to recognize the retirement of City Engineer Kenneth (Kenny) Morris. Morris will officially retire at the end of this month.

He began his career with the City in August, 1986 and according to Mayor Will Hill, "There hasn't been much activity in the City during that time that he (Morris) has not been involved in."

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen adopted a resolution to honor Morris and recognize his contributions to the citizens of Louisville. He was also presented with a hunting rifle as a retirement gift.

The usually reticent Morris addressed the gathered crowd - "I'm thankful for the opportunity to work with all these great people and I appreciate all of you coming today."
