Community Conversation about Mental Health with Nfusion 7

Nfusion 7 has scheduled an event with the community to have conversations about mental health and to provide data and information to help participants converse about key issues of importance to their community.  Nfusion 7 Community Conversation will take place:

The event will start with Mayor Will Hill’s office discussing a vision of direction for Louisville in mental health. Conversations for this event will consist of: Mental Health Statistics, Teenage Pregnancy, Youth Staying Mentally Well, Bullying, Spice and other drugs, Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), Criminalization, Teen and their Rights, Parent Engagement, and What do we do well in Mental Health.

Nfusion is a System of Care initiative in partnership with the Mississippi Transitional Outreach Project, a grant project of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) A System of Care is a coordinated network of community-based services and supports organized to meet the challenges of youth with serious mental health needs and their families.

NFusion is aimed at linking youth and young adults between the ages of 14-21 with resources in their communities as they transition into their next phase of life.  The initiative offers mental health services in addition to a variety of supports including assistance with living skills, educational support, cultural enrichment, employment skills, and countless others.  All of these are made possible through partnerships with families and community members.
