Eric F. Walker Promoted as University of Arkansas Law Dean

This young man, Eric F. Walker was recently promoted as one of the law school deans at the University of AR - Little Rock, effective July 1, 2015. Eric is a 1995 graduate of Morehouse College - a private, all-male, liberal arts, historically black College located in Atlanta, GA. Morehouse is among the highest ranking of all the historically black colleges and Universities. He later received his law degree from the University of Indiana - Maurer School of Law (Bloomington) in 1998 as a criminal attorney.

Eric's parents are Freddie Walker and Audrey Wilson Walker, grandparents are Wilson Walker and Betty Lampkin-Walker. Eric's father, Freddie Walker graduated from Louisville Colored High School in 1964 as an honor student. The fall of 1964 he enrolled at Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. A year later, he became employed at McDonnel/ Doughlas aircraft in St. Louis. He later was drafted to Vietnam; wounded on August 17, 1967 and was awarded the Purple Heart. Freddie graduated from Lincoln University in 1971 and from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis Indiana Law in 1974. He, too, is an attorney in Anderson, IN. Like father like son. Freddie speaks very highly of his son and feels proud that he followed in his footsteps to become a lawyer.

Eric and his wife Kesha Carey Walker have two children - Jackson (6) and Gabrielle (8)
