Taylor Machine Works Announces New Partnership With ECCC

LOUISVILLE, MS -- Taylor Machine Works, a major manufacturer of power industrial trucks located in Louisville, MS announces a new partnership with East Central Community College to prepare individuals for skilled jobs at the growing manufacturing company.

“Beginning November 1, 2015, applicants for jobs at Taylor will need to have successfully passed the ACT WorkKeys Career Readiness Assessment offered by East Central Community College,” said Robert Taylor, Vice President of Operations at Taylor Machine Works. This assessment will help the company determine the readiness of individuals for skilled jobs. ECCC provides the assessment and can help applicants prepare for the test.

Taylor said it will also start giving preference to individuals who complete the Manufacturing Skills Basic training program offered by the college.

“Beginning January 1, 2016, applicants for jobs at Taylor will also need to have completed the Manufacturing Skills Basic training program to be eligible for employment,” said Taylor.

“East Central Community College is committed to providing a skilled workforce to Taylor Machine Works and other manufacturing companies in Winston County,” said ECCC President Billy Stewart.
