Black History Month Programs

The Winston County Library presented Black History Month programs at most city and county schools during February. These enthusiastic Louisville Elementary students were in a play called “The Future Is History”, directed by Winston County Children’s Librarian Andrea (back center). Treyanna Holmes also sang “His Eye Is On The Sparrow”. Pictured here are the student actors with Ms. McHenry and Ms. Holmes: (kneeling) Jaterious Lockett;

(second row, l-r) Ms. Holmes, Amya Whitfield; Ajyia Shell; Simeon Matthews; (back row) Ms. McHenry and William Bennett. “These students were so wonderful to work with,” said Ms. McHenry. “They were so energetic and enthusiastic about the play. For two weeks, they gave up their activity period to practice for the play. They did a great job!”
