First Annual BLUE4MRSLOU WALK-March 26

The month of March is set aside nation wide and is know as colon cancer awareness month. The Blue4MrsLou is a non-profit organization that is bringing awareness concerning colon cancer to the community. This organization was developed in the honor of the lovable Mrs. Lucile Harris Metts. Mrs. Metts fought the battle of colon cancer for over 10 years.

During her battle with cancer, she would reach out and help other cancer patients by bringing awareness, supporting, and providing a platform for them to receive information. The BLUE4MRSLOU organization is looking forward to continuing her legacy by supporting and servicing the cancer community. We will be sponsoring our first annual LOU WALK event in her honor.

This event will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 617 Winston St. Louisville, MS 39339, at 9:00 a.m. We will not only walk but also have blood pressure checks, informative session on cancer, survivors of this deadly disease will speak, balloon release, and prayer. Our goal is to impact the community with tools, and helpful information to aid in their journey knowing they are not fighting alone.
