LPD Peace Officer Memorial - May 22

Scene from the 2015 Memorial Service
Officers from the Louisville Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies will gather at the Memorial Park Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Sunday,  May 22, 2016 to take part in a wreath laying ceremony to honor the lives and careers of local officers killed in the line of duty.

Each year, our country sets aside a week to salute the men and women who do the difficult and dangerous jobs of safeguarding our communities. Peace Officer Memorial Day on May 22 provides an opportunity to mourn those lost in the line of duty but to also remember their service.

This service will honor Trooper Joe Clay (MHP), Agent Hank McLeod (MBN) and officer Darrell Cooper (Louisville Police Department.)
