This years Red Hills Festival in Downtown Louisville kicks off on Friday, May 27th - Here's some important info and schedules!!


 Friday night entertainment starts at 7:00 pm located behind the Winston County Courthouse on Park and Court Street. Kicks off with Paul Wells and headlined by Scott McQuaig and the TomCats. Come join us for a little Country and Blues!! Need more info! - click here 

Also on Friday Night , the carnival will be in town. Rides and games available starting Friday on Court Street just behind the 1st Baptist Church.

And you never know – some of our vendors may be ready for business!!


8:00 am - The Junior Auxiliary of Louisville will be hosting the 7th Annual Red Hills Festival 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 8:00 AM. The run will start on North Columbus – Sign in across from Post Office – Need more info – click here

8:50 am – Welcome by Mayor Will Hill, Invocation, Pledge and National Anthem – on the stage on S. Columbus Ave.

9:00 am – Entertainment begins - for a full schedule click here

(Close to our own heart , Winston Web News’ very own Tracy McCully will be singing some old favorites that you can sing along to – starting at 9:30)

10:00 AM - Jr . Auxiliary Awards from the 5K Run/Walk on stage.

10:00 am – 2nd Annual Red Hills Pet Show for ages 6-14 starts behind the Chamber of Commerce/Library. For more details – click here

11:30 am – Local folks gather for a group picture in front of the Presbyterian Church on S. Columbus for the annual Homecoming Photo!!

ALL DAY: - Don’t miss the Homecoming Tent on South Columbus and bring your photos, yearbooks and memorabilia to share. Who knows you just might see an old friend or two.

RED HILLS CAR SHOW – one of the best shows in the area – located in the 1st Baptist Church parking lot. Registration begins at 8:00 am til 11:00 am and awards given at 3:00 pm. If you need more info on this – contact the Chamber at 662-773-3921 or Jerry

Here are some important rules and information:

· Due to safety concerns, the Red Hills Festival Committee is asking folks not to bring their pets inside the festival perimeter on Friday and Saturday. This consists of South Columbus, Park Street, the carnival area and the Red Hills Car Show. The safety of your animals and festival go-ers is the main concern.

· Street barriers will be placed at the following locations -
S. Columbus and Main -(by monument)
Park Street and S. Church
S Court and Main (by courthouse)
S. Columbus and Academy (end of boulevard)
S. Court and Academy (behind 1st Baptist)

· The Festival area will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the Festival. Vendors will be allowed into the area before and after to set up and take down their booths.
