Red Hills Festival Pet Show Winners

The 2016 Red Hills Pet Show, sponsored by the Historic Preservation Board committee, was held on the lawn behind the Chamber of Commerce Office, in front of the Girl Scout Hut. This is the location of pet shows held fifty years ago in the city park.

Ashton Swain brought Sabrina, a white Umbrella Cockatoo, which was the Best Overall Pet. Sabina also won first place as the Most Unusual Pet and Most Talented Pet, and second place as Prettiest Pet and Most Personality.

Brayden Young, six years old, was proud of his pet, Sky, a brown and white American Beagle. Sky won first place as the Prettiest Pet and 2nd place as Friendliest Pet.

Ragen Watkins was showing Snook, a Jack Russell Terrier. Snook won first place with Most Personality, and second place as Most Handsome and Most Talented pet.

Julia Gregory and her dog Smokey, a Mini Australian Shephard, did a great job and won first place as Most Handsome Male Pet and first place as Friendliest Pet.

Many thanks go to the judges who are members of Grass Roots Animal Rescue Team, Amanda Beck, Jessica Thompson, and Johnathan Williams. The Pet Show was fun for all who participated and attended.
