On Tuesday, December 20, 2016, a very cold day, Winston County Girl Scouts Troop #20012 with Experience Works' trainees decorated the Dean Park Pavilion and the 11-foot Fraser Fir Tree that was donated by Evergreen Garden Center, Louisville, MS. Friends of Dean Park, Inc. (FODP) sponsors this event annually. Hot chocolate and beautifully decorated cup cakes were served. The cup cakes were made by Lee Audrey Dailey-Summerour and Sandra Howze, members of FODP.

The Girl Scouts are dedicated to community services and have been volunteering since the inception of FODP in 2008. We thank them and wish them a very prosperous New Year. Montana Eichelberger is a freshman at USM, but came during her Christmas holiday to help. Actually, she helped to coordinate the event. We were impressed with the Girl Scouts dedication on such a cold day.
