Louisville Municipal Schools Partners with Atlas for an Opportunity for Students to "Lead The Way"

Finding a qualified and capable workforce has become a challenge for many manufacturing companies, something Louisville’s newest employer, Winston Plywood and Veneer has faced as the new facility began production. In an effort to improve skills and backgrounds for future employees, the Louisville Municipal School District working with Atlas Holdings, LLC, the parent company of Winston Plywood and Veneer is participating in a program called Project Lead The Way (PLTW).

PLTW is a nationwide program that now involves 9000 schools and 2.4 million students in hands-on, real world activities, projects and problems. Locally, students from 9th to 12th grades participate in the program to develop and improve practical work and engineering skills. The following video details more information about the program:
