City Paving Project Underway

Paving was recently completed for Jordan Circle
Drainage work has been ongoing across the City of Louisville for several weeks and now the long
awaited paving project has begun as well. Streets have been paved or are in the process in Jordan Circle, Piney Woods Drive and soon for Eiland Avenue.

According to Mayor Will Hill, before completion, at least 60 streets will be improved with new paving, shoulder work and striping along with ongoing work for 27 drainage sites and issues. The first streets to receive work will be those directly in the path of the 2014 tornado. Hill stressed that other streets, some on the edge of the tornado's path will also be re-paved, "You may see some areas temporarily bypassed but those included in the project will be completed.

Hill also indicated that once paving was complete for Railroad Avenue, it would be opened for traffic.
