Winston County Sheriff Office Makes Drug Arrests

On Friday June 16th, Winston County Sheriff Deputies made a pair of felony drug arrests. At around
4 p.m., deputies were conducting a safety check on Highway 490 at Bateman Road. Aaron Hughey of the Nanih Waiya community was found to have a suspended license. After consenting to a search, a quantity of drugs and paraphernalia and a weapon was discovered in the vehicle.

Hughey was transported to the Winston Choctaw County Regional Correctional Facility where he is being held awaiting bond. He is charged with possession of methamphetamines and possession of hydrocodone which are both felonies and the possession of drug paraphernalia which is a misdemeanor.

This arrest comes only days after a misdemeanor arrest in the same area for possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
