Recently, Mississippi Jewelers Association (MJA) celebrated their 67th year with their convention in
Hot Springs, Arkansas. The convention consisted of jewelers from the state of Mississippi traveling to the Crater of Diamonds to look for diamonds, attending seminars as well as celebrating MJA at their annual banquet.

This was Mary Snow’s last year as President of MJA and she will move on to the Board as Past President for two years. Both she and Johnny are owners of our local jewelry shoppe on Main Street...The Jewel Shoppe.

It was during the banquet that she received her diamond and gold MJA Past President’s pin in recognition of her service to the organization. Johnny Snow was recognized as the 2018 Jeweler of the Year and both Mary and Johnny won the A.C.E. Award for one of their jewelry designs which they made for a client. This is the second time that they have won the A.C.E. Award.

The Jewel Shoppe has been on Main Street for 57 years. Johnny Snow is a 2nd generation jeweler who has been at the bench for 40 years. Mary, his wife, brings to the shoppe her art background and designs jewelry.

Both Mary and Johnny expressed how humbled they are at being selected for these awards by their peers and they also feel so very blessed that they live in Louisville where they have been allowed to stay in business on Main Street.
