It’s a Family Affair – a Mother’s Day Story

This mother and daughters trio ended the school year triumphantly. Mother Rita Eichelberger graduated from Jackson State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Interdisciplinary Studies. Rita is known throughout the Louisville Municipal School District as being Parent of the Year for 4 years. After her youngest daughter Asia graduated from high school, she decided to complete her degree. Her graduation was, Saturday, May 4, 2019, with her daughters Asia and Montana, husband Paul Eichelberger, mother Johnny Kate Jackson, sisters Camille Jackson Loving and Danyell Jackson Logan, nephews Brent Logan and Dustin Loving, niece Adrianna Liddell and other family members in attendance. Her nephew Dustin Loving graduated with her.

Daughter Asia Eichelberger, a sophomore at the University of Mississippi-Oxford, this week was the recipient of the Rose Flenorl – Member of the Year Award and the Best Soprano Award both from the University of Mississippi Gospel Choir. Asia is embarking on a Cheerleader Camp this summer at the Louisville Coliseum June 17-21 and June 24-28. Check her face book page for application coming soon.

Daughter Montana Eichelberger, a junior at University of Southern Mississippi (USM) with a major in Psychology and a minor in Spanish, was recently accepted into the Study Abroad program at the Universidad de Cadiz in Cadiz, Spain where she will participate in their 5-week program the summer of 2019. The study abroad program is an international exchange program that offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in Spain’s rich culture and heritage. Students will experience the excitement of Spanish music, beaches, mountains, countryside and the generosity of Spanish people.

It is a family affair.
