The Wings Over Winston (WOW)Airshow returns to the Louisville-Winston Airport on Saturday.
Expectations are for a great show with the return of some old favorites and some new performers as well. WOW is a free event and the gates open at 9:30 am and the show starts at 11:00 am.

Acts include the Lima Lima Flight Team featuring a group of T34 military trainers performing group acrobatics, Jimmy Burke and his Russian YAK 52, A WWII era F4U Corsair piloted by Frank Kimmel and the Raptor Team from SRC Airshows return as well.

The Immortal Red Baron returns from last year's show to entertain and thrill the crowd. Also set to
return are the "Alabama Boys" featuring Sheriff Roscoe and Hot Wire Harry providing a bit of comedy and amazing aerial stunts.

Also returning is the opportunity to take rides in an open bi-plane over the city of Louisville and surrounding area. Rides are available on Friday prior to the airshow and on Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon - prior to and after the show. No reservations are needed for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

The event is free to the public. Parking is available at the Louisville Coliseum and adjoining ballfield parking areas with shuttle service to the airport. Adults are asked to donate $1 for the shuttle rides to defray costs. Handicapped parking is available as well.

Wings Over Winston may be one of the most intimate and crowd friendly air shows across the South.
Folks can interact, meet and have a fine old time with our performers before and after the show.

Many of our local businesses are contributing to the cost of the show to make it affordable for our citizens. Food vendors will be on site with everything from BBQ to Sno-Cones. Please come out and bring the family to this fun-filled and exciting day.
