Louisville Police Searching for Suspect in Friday Night Shooting

On Friday, April 10th at approximately 9:16 PM, a shooting occurred at 410 Ivy Avenue in Louisville, MS. The shooting was in the parking lot of Ivy Apartments.

Malik Hudson, 23 years of age, a black male from Houston Texas, was allegedly shot by Michael D. Jones, 40 year old black male from 12016 Five Oaks Drive in Gulfport, MS., while trying to exit the parking lot of the apartments. 

The car then turned north onto Ivy Avenue, ran off the right side of roadway, and collided with a light pole. When officers from Louisville Police Department arrived on scene, they secured the area and Mr. Hudson was transported to Winston Medical Center and then airlifted to University Medical Center in Jackson for

gunshot wounds to the head and back. Mr. Hudson is listed in critical condition.

Mr. Jones had left the scene prior to the officers arriving and is currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections for felony DUI.
